On November 10, 2018, one of our founding members had the privilege of speaking at CityWide Dallas. After attending that meeting for the first time, he came back to Tarrant County and started sharing what an amazing experience it had been.
After sharing it with a few other A.A. members in Tarrant County, it was agreed that we needed an opportunity for service, fellowship and unity on our side of the county line – so “Tarrant Countywide” was born.
On Sunday, November 25, 2018, four of our founding members came together to have the first official conversation about it and to lay the groundwork for our first official planning meeting that will take place on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at the home of one of the founders. For that meeting, we’ve created a flyer and have started sharing with A.A. members all over Tarrant County to generate interest and to get people there to start fleshing it out.
Our founding mission for this meeting is “Unity Through Recovery, Service and Spiritual Growth.” It is our hope that this meeting grow with the help of A.A. groups all over Tarrant County giving A.A. members an opportunity to come together, break bread, fellowship, do service and hear great A.A. speakers share their experience, strength and hope.
God Bless!
